Magic Wand

Table of Contents

This plugin allows you to cast magic spells, many of them have nice effects!

Features

You can cast magic spells using a Blaze Rod.
Right Click - Go through all the spells.
Left Click - Cast the selected spell.
In the config you can configure the cooldowns, spellcosts and if pvp and/or block breaking is allowed.

Commands

/spells - Gives you the list of spells available.

Permissions

magicwand.cast - This is the permission to cast spells.

Spells

Thunder - Strikes a lightning strike where you are looking at!
Fireball - Shoots a fireball where you are looking at!
Comet - Shoots a trail of potion effects and creates a explosion at the end!
Explosion Wave - Shoots a trail of explosions where you are looking at! (God or Creative Mode recommended!)
Teleport - Shoots a trail of ender signals where you are looking at, then you teleport to the place where you shot it!
Grab - Grab Entities, Players and even blocks on the ground!
Push - Blast Entities, Players and blocks on the ground away from you!
Launch - Blast Enemy's high in the air!
Confusion - Confuse your Enemy's!

Pleas do the spell spark by the plugin thats will be AMEZING (english is very bad)

But the plugin is AWESOME!!! without the spark is it still AWESOME!! :D

I tried to use this plugin but it has the permission
messed up so while the author fix that you can check:

right now is on the first release, cause I made that
plugin because I want a similar plugin like this one
and the author was unreacheable

i guess the permission magicwand.cast is not the official one, only ops can use the casts and I try zPermissions bPermissions PermissionEX and no results.

Every time a player does /spell (with permission) it says Current Unlocked Spells: and theres no spells unlocked. But my OP's have access. Please fix this bug, I use this plugin for my mage class and its now under "Maintenance" until its fixed please help me!

Make sure that each of those are on separate lines, and that there is NO SPACE between the "=" and the "id number" (ex. spellcost-comet=371 5). Hope that helps.

Actually I stopped using this plugin a while ago, since this one seems to be abandoned, and moved on to the "MagicSpells" plugin. It has a mana system, configurable spells (casting costs and materials, duration, etc), and more.

Hey Rooster I really need your help, Im seriously stuck and i dont know what ive done wrong if you have any spare time please help.

This is my config

spellcost-comet= 371 5 spellcost-confusion= 371 10 spellcost-explosionwave= 371 20 spellcost-fireball= 371 5 spellcost-grab= 371 10 spellcost-heal= 371 10 spellcost-launch= 371 10 spellcost-push= 371 10 spellcost-teleport= 371 10 spellcost-thunder= 371 5

basically I just want it to cost different amounts of golden nuggets (371) every time i use a spell. please help!!

by the way i want to say this is a really cool plugin and i hope you can add more features to this in the future

How do people learn/unlock spells because as people have been posting, Non-Opped players with the magicwand.cast permission still can't cast spells due to lack of spells unlocked.

You don't have any items set in your cost. It should be formatted like this:

spellcost-comet=<item id> <amount>
spellcost-comet=402 16

or for multiple components

spellcost-comet=<item id> <amount>,<item id> <amount>
spellcost-comet=402 16,384 1

Also, your cooldown times are WAY short. Try adding a few zeros to the end of them.

I can't seem to get the config file to work properly, it doesn't seem to charge the users, or even require a cooldown. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi again :)

I recently added PEX (Permissions Ex) so I could start giving access to Magic Wand and other plugins to the non-op users, but for some reason they still cannot access any of the spells.

Any ideas?

Are you going to be adding any new spells to those available?

Maybe the ability, in the config file, to change the object used as the wand?
