HelpFul

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Plugin Info

HelpFul is a plugin that overrides the /help command.
Also adds a /helpop command for players with permissions.
These two commands are fully customizable with multiple pages and sub-commands.

  • Create infinite sub-commands (e.g. /help sub1 sub2) and customize every sub-command help page
  • Support for MySQL or Flat file databases
  • Support for colors and formatting codes
  • Add/customize your translations for every plugin message

Command usage

  • /help [sub-command] - Displays help on the chosen sub-command
  • /helpop [sub-command] - Displays OP's help on the chosen sub-command
  • /helpreload - Reloads the plugin

Permissions

  • help.default - Allows use of the /help command
  • help.op - Allows use of the /helpop command
  • help.* - Allows use of every command

Configuration

Translations

On the first launch, HelpFul creates a file with translated messages in the folder "Helpful/locales". You can change the language of the plugin from the configuration file. If your language is not available, you can translate messages from the above file. If you want to contribute to the translation, send your translated file to [email protected]. Currently supported languages: en, it.

Usage examples

TODO

  • Add the ability to insert commands in the help pages, allowing you to run these commands when you type the associated subcommand (e.g. typing '/help testhello', displays 'Hello' to the player and run a preconfigured command)
  • Add per-subcommand permissions
