EcoLeaderboards

Want to add some competition to your server's economy? Allow your players to view the top balances on the server, displayed conveniently on auto-updating signs.

Creating an EcoLeaderboards sign

1. Make sure you have the required permission (EcoLeaderboards.place)
2. Place a sign with the first line as "[el#]", replacing # with a value 1 through 10 ( [el1] would show the top balance on the server, [el2] the second, etc. )

The signs will update every 60 seconds by default, customizable in the plugin's config file.

Excluding players from leaderboards

You can exclude anyone from the leaderboards by listing them as an excluded player in the config. This is helpful for keeping those with administrative privileges from competing with normal players.

Commands

• /el reload : Re-ranks the server balances and updates all signs. Requires EcoLeaderboards.reload
• /el top : Displays the top 10 server balances
• /el position [#] : Displays the player & balance at the queried rank

Permissions

• EcoLeaderboards.place : Allows a player to place an EcoLeaderboard sign
• EcoLeaderboards.reload : Allows a player to re-rank the sign balances at any time by typing "/el reload"
• EcoLeaderboards.position : Allows a player to use "/el top" and "/el position [#]" commands
• EcoLeaderboards.* : All EcoLeaderboards permissions

How to install

1. Download EcoLeaderboards.jar
2. Place in your server's plugins folder
3. Start your server
4. Give yourself (the owner) the EcoLeaderboards.* permission node

Notes

• It is strongly suggested to raise the "update_interval_seconds" configuration option to 600 or more if you are running a server with a large player base. If you have many thousands / tens of thousands of users, keep in mind that each of their user files need to be opened every time the balances are re-ranked, so you don't want this happening very frequently.
• EcoLeaderboards currently only maintains a list of only the top 10 server balances, possibly configurable in the future
