EasyPM simplifies the way we send messages to each other. No more typing in full names and commands!

Usage and Commands

Depending on the config a player need to enable EasyPM first. This is easily done with the command /epm. The same command is used if a player doesn't want to use EasyPM.

Send PM

Start your chat message with an @ and directly followed by a part of the players name you want to sent a message to.

@dadae Hey man! How you doing?!

The message is sent to the player online whose name starts with "dadae". If more players than one is found the message will cancel.

Send repeat PM

Are you chatting with someone? Have you messaged them before with the Send PM command?

@ And here is some more text!

Just type @ followed with a space and then you message.

Reply to PM

New to version 1.2 is replying to PMs.

@@What you want?

Just type two @'s followed by your message. No need for a space between at signs and your message.

Lock PM

Use the command /lockpm to send all your chat messages to the person you've last whispered. Unlock with the same command.

Config

The config has some options to adjust the colors of the messages. Also it can set if EasyPM is default on or off for new players. After starting the plugin for the first time it will create a default config file.

Also you can enable/disable logging to console and logging to HawkEye.

Colors

These are the colors you can choose.

• black
• dark_blue
• dark_green
• dark_aqua
• dark_red
• dark_purple
• gold
• gray
• dark_gray
• blue
• green
• aqua
• red
• light_purple
• yellow
• white

Log PMs to console

For obvious purposes some server owners want to log all traffic to the console log. For them I've made the following option in the config.

EasyPM:
  LogChat: true

Default this setting will be set to false.

Compatibility with other plugins

CommandBook

This plugins also uses the "@playername" chat command. To disable this change the config of commandbook.

Metrics

EasyPM uses a service called Metrics by Hidendra. This will send anonymous data about the usage of this plugin to a website so we developers can monitor how much our plugins are being used.
