What is Drop Party?

Drop Party is a simple, easy to use plugin that lets you create drop parties on your server.

Latest version: 3.2. Compatible with Craftbukkit and Spigot 1.11.2.

Features

Set chests that items will be taken from for chest parties
Set item spawn points for each drop party
Set firework spawn points for each drop party, where fireworks will be shot at the end of the party
Set each drop party's item drop delay, maximum length, and maximum stack size
Set each drop party's firework spawn delay and amount. Fireworks will spawn at the end of a Drop Party
Enable vote to start on a drop party, and set the required amount of votes to start it
Enable votifier for a party and let players vote through votifier (currently disabled in v3.2)
Enable periodic start on a drop party, and set the length of time between each automatic start
Set a party to not empty a chest, so the party can be run repeatedly without refilling chests.
Announces when drop parties are started/stopped
Let players teleport to drop parties
All messages are configurable and can be easily changed

Commands

If /dp conflicts with another plugin, /dropparty may be used as well.
<Angle brackets signify a required parameter>
[Square brackets signify an optional parameter]

Special Permissions

dropparty.admin - All drop party permissions

Setup/Usage

1. Setting up the plugin:

Place the plugin into the plugins folder of your server.
Restart or reload the server to load the plugin and generate a configuration file in /plugins/dropparty.
Edit the messages and default party settings. (OPTIONAL)
Reload the plugin with /dp reload
Ops will have permission to all commands. Give any permissions needed to non-ops.

2. Setting up a Drop Party:

Type /dp create <party>. A drop party will be created with the given name, and the teleport set at your location.
Type /dp set chest <party>. Right or left click on chests you want items to be taken from for the party.
Type /dp set itempoint <party>. Right or left click on the faces of blocks you want items to be dropped at.
Type /dp set fireworkpoint <party>. Right or left click on the faces of blocks you want fireworks to be spawned at after a party.

3. Starting a Drop Party:

Type /dp start <party>. The party will be started and will run until the max length is reached, it runs out of items, or is manually stopped

Notes

Drop Party requires (at least) Java 8 to run.

could we maybe get a way to scale DP's to player count? like for every 10 people online, you add another chest to pull from?

Not sure if this is even possible or if you are busy, wondering if there is any possibility of porting this to Sponge? Not a single dropparty plugin yet because they dont want to break your copy right :p

I wish I could but I have no experience with sponge and I'm overwhelmingly busy from pretty much now through the end of summer. If someone wants to port this I don't think there's anything stopping them from basically copying how it works, or even directly using the code as its licensed by GPLv3 :)

The Drop Party only seems to last 30s, even when I edit the party settings. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

A DropParty build for 1.11.2 has been uploaded for review, hopefully it passes inspection! I am not aware if any rules etc. have changed in the last couple of years. MCStats, Updater, and Votifier integration have been removed for various reasons. Votifier may make a comeback soon if it is still in a working state.

Using the latest version, when a player types /dp teleport They get An internal error occurred while attempting to perform this command and this is the error on the console... http://pastebin.com/XgR4Jcw5

Hi

I have a big problem i do this /dp create <party> /dp set chest <party> and here come so my problem Then i Right or left click on chests you want items to be taken from for the party.

If i left click on my chest then my chest broken or if i right click on it, nothing happens.. Why ? I have try to finnish the guide and nothing happens... and i could see in video at after there be right click on chest i wrote: chest its set.

So i hobe your Guys could help me... please

Edit.. I think i have find the problem.. i have spigot on my server... and i try on my test server and its run bukkit and there its Work.. Can you make it completible whit spigot please ?

I have CraftBukkit 1.8.0. Will an update come out for compatibility of this plugin? As of now, DropParty is in my plagins folder yet not creating a config file or working at all.

How would I set up the config to go for a full day? I'm setting up a DP on my server for my birthday and I want it to go all day. Everything else is all set up (chests, drop locations, and fireworks). Thanks for any help :)

Is there a way to add a delay to the config? I would like to have them purchase this via ingame cash and it would automatically start in like 60 seconds so everyone would get a chance to get there before it starts.
