Announcer [v1.5]

Announcer is a very simple plugin, which only does what's its name told us. It automatically sends a broadcast out of a list controlled by a schedule.

  • Sends Scheduled Broadcast to all Players
  • Easy to configure by 'config.yml' or ingame with the '/announce' or '/acc' command.
  • Supports chat colors and newlines with &n.
  • Supports executing commands inside Announcements. (Like "Now it will turn day!&n/time day")

This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to A unique identifier The server's version of Java Whether the server is in offline or online mode The plugin's version The server's version The OS version/name and architecture The core count for the CPU The number of players online The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

It also uses a updating system to check for updates. This is recommended so you can stay up to date with the plugin but is optional. In the config you can disable the auto update and check feature.

    @aggelosQQ: Go

Sure I can do that. I should post an update in about 1 week :)

    Good job:)

I want to ask you something. I own a Free OP server and I don't want everyone to be able to add announcements. Could you add an option on the config something like:

    ingame_commands_enabled: true/false

    I'd really appreciate it.

Just negate the permission. I has been explained how to do it.

Yup, still working as it should. Wish there was an option to DISABLE the viewing of these announcements for higher ranks...the ones that don't really need to see them anymore.

I agree. Any time frame on 1.8 version?

Great plugin! have been using it for months!

But could you recompile it for 1.8 / java 8 perhaps? I would really like a more optimized build :)

    Thank you!

I love this plugin! I originally used AutoAnnouncer, but Deckerz-Announcer has way more features and can be configured in-game, unlike AutoAnnouncer!

I can't seem to get the newline to work, can someone show me an example of how the newline character is supposed to be used?

As a suggestion, I think the ability to create a suffix for announcements would be cool. It would be easier to create announcements that really stand out.
