DeathKeep
This plugin is a very interesting concept for RPG servers and whatnot. On your server, if a player dies in lava, or to some idiot. or to any of a zillion annoying causes, their items will probably be very hard, or impossible, to reach. This plugin offers a lightweight solution to the undying rage of losing the fruit of a day's worth of dungeon exploring - you can save 3 of your items on death.
Features:
- On death, a hopper inventory will appear. The first and last slots are filled with Ender Chests with red names saying "Save 3 items".
- When the inventory is closed, all the player's items will be dropped at the location they died at.
- No getting your friends to go save your items from lava - after 30 seconds the inventory closes itself.
- Don't worry, you can access your armor, but only if you had space in your inventory...
Warning:
Due to a problem in Bukkit, shift-clicking will crash your server. I have taken the liberty of removing the capability while in the death inventory.
Do not attempt to bypass it.
This plugin will set the gamerule keepInventory to true. Do not change it, it is vital to the plugin working.
Did you ever change it to a custom amount of items on death? I think 5 is indeed the best number
@HerobrineIsWatchingYou
I would have to find an inventory that has the requisite number of free spaces. A hopper was perfect because it had 5 spaces, with 2 for information and aesthetics.
I'm referring to this.
@LegendaryKoala
Thanks for noticing, I'll fix that. I'm still debating whether I'll do more than 3 items. It's designed to make the player really choose, you know?
Great mod, I followed it from the request. However I've discovered a loophole-
Issue: If you throw all of the items to the ground when selecting your "three", they are thrown to the ground in front of you and you bypass having to select three...
Also I think 5 is most ideal, that way you can save your armor + weapon of choice. If not that atleast 4 or the happy medium of a config file which lets you choose 1 to X. (I believe you can use 1 row of a chest and put the ender chests filled up to which ever amount is selected by the server owner).
@madtomic
Not sure what you mean?
Ok, that sounds like a plan.

can you add configurable number of items can be saved?
