Introduction

CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.

Useful Links

How to Use

  1. Build a gate frame with any materials you like.
  2. Name a clock with an anvil.
  3. Hit the insite of the frame with the clock
  4. Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.

Installation

  • Ensure you have Java 7 installed.
  • Stop the server.
  • Put MassiveCore.jar in the plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
  • Put CreativeGates.jar in the plugins folder.
  • Start the server.
  • For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
  • Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
  • Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
  • Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.

Portal vs Water

CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".

For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.

For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Well that's how it used to be like a while ago. Anyways at least on my server and the others they have it so only OP's can make a gate. I had these towns on my server and a portal room near spawn and i built a portal at portal room and a portal at there own little town.

So any Gate you create, for example in your faction base, if someone makes a gate and activates it with a clock they can teleport into your faction base? Personally I would not like that feature, but I suppose if your in a vanilla creative world it would be cool.

Yeah exactly. Before it was really simple. Build a frame out of one or two blocks place a diamond block at the bottom, an hit it with a clock then somewhere else make the same portal and hit it with a clock. It was just simpler and nice and other people agree over 100 so its not just me.

Pretty sure he means no renaming clocks and an easier to access config. I think mcore confuses a lot of people, as it is not in the /plugins folder. In the old version, you weren't required to rename a clock, and some people found this simpler.

I don't understand.....That's what I do to make a gate, how is yours different? Only difference is that you name a clock with a Anvil to link the two gates. If you just have a diamond block linking the gates what will keep them from all being interconnected?....Just curious.

Can someone PLEASE make a version like the old one where you just make a portal put a diamond block like on the bottom and just hit it with a clock and then make another portal with the same 1 or 2 types of materials and hit that one with a diamond block. It was so simple and amazing and I'm not asking just for myself.

I've conducted a poll on Planet Minecraft and over 100 server owners said they would rather have the old one. SO please make at least a version for the old fashioned one for 1.7.5+ I would pay to have it like this again! So many people want it!

Thanks for all your work and PLEASE think about it! -Crypt

<<reply 21 Why wouldn't it be able to be? :)

If its big enough to walk through it doesn't matter the shape...Be careful, there is a size config somewhere.

You gotta use Water Gates or remove the Nether completely, they discuss this issue in the the configuration.

Please remove MCORE, sometimes I step into the portal and go to the nether.

    and update to 1.7.5 Spigot
