Introduction

CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.

Useful Links

How to Use

  1. Build a gate frame with any materials you like.
  2. Name a clock with an anvil.
  3. Hit the insite of the frame with the clock
  4. Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.

Installation

  • Ensure you have Java 7 installed.
  • Stop the server.
  • Put mcore.jar in the plugins folder. Download MCore here on BukkitDev.
  • Put CreativeGates.jar in the plugins folder.
  • Start the server.
  • Configure the mcore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
  • Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
  • Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
  • Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.

Portal vs Water

CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".

For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.

For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

U can do that or u can just go on you server files
    Open up MSstore
    Open up creativegates_uconf@default
    Open up instance.
But your works just as well :)

For all of you (like me) who would like to use water for your portals and can't find the "uconf" file here is a tutorial on how to find it!

First open your start menu, then type: "mstore" without the quotes. Look for file that just says "mstore". Open "mstore" and look for the file "creativegates_uconf@default". Open that one and look for the text document "instance". Open "instance" and look for "usingWater": false, and change it to "usingWater": true, save the file and your done!!!

    Hope this helps.

NOTE: If you have made any portals you may have to remake them.

Can you make simplified version of this portal plugin, that will not use some extra stuff like mcore? And possibly drop this clock naming business too.

Old plugin is missing ability to recognize damage values of blocks, like red wool vs black wool. Having it recognize them, using no extra plugins, no clock naming business would make a strong and steady plugin.

    Anyone can destroy the portal?
