Colors
Colors
Colors is a fully configurable chat plugin. You can change the commands used, substitute your own color characters, and even disable portions of the plugin. With colors, your chat needs are finally fulfilled. Using colors, you can add prefixes and suffixes to both users and groups, you can finally type commands using color, and you make your chat appear in a rainbow (great for annoying your users!). Colors supports both the old permissions format, and the new superperms permissions manager. Using permissions, you can enable (or disable) users to color their own prefixes and suffixes, use the chat modifyer, and activate rainbow mode.
Please do not post here. I don't get the messages.
Click the bugtracker above. Thank you

Add 1.9.2
Added support for 1.9, should be ready soon, as it's in the approval queue.
Is this plugin able to color signs?
Plz make it for 1.8 please. five star plugin!
Does this plugin work on 1.7.9?
Well When I have it on. It says the same msg in chat 2 time. One in white and one in color?
Minecraft 1.8 and UUID change:
Hi everyone! In light of the new UUID change, I've made development of colors 3.0 a higher priority. This means that it should be out before 1.8 is.
If it isn't, however, do not worry. The only issues you will face would be due to your own users changing their names.
A larger announcement will be made regarding the change from colors 2 to colors 3, but there will be a lot of changes as this is a full rewrite. This means that the file structure is going to be different (I'll try and include a converter to automatically grab the data from colors 2) and the commands will be different (but now can be used from the console!).
At any rate, thanks for sticking with Colors this far, and I wish you a great 1.8.
@TWSSYesterday
It doesn't work very well with essentialschat. If you disable either one, it should work fine. There's not much I can do besides say wait for colors 3.0, when I introduce support for multithreaded chat and fix the issue.
@TWSSYesterday
Which version? Do you have any other chat plugins installed?
@smatdude13
It should, yes. Just make sure to download the beta build, as 2.0.2 don't have that feature. Also, make sure to report anything that doesn't work. The more people that test it and give feedback, the faster I can get out a release.
So Lets say I use command book, and I use groupmanager, will this be able to show my colored prefixes? or do I have to get another chat plugin to do that?
@smatdude13
It should already work for 1.7, this is just an update to fix some broken permissions stuff and add new features.
Ok, cool so this means it will work with 1.7?
Beta build is released. Just waiting on the mods to approve.
I've got an alpha build for Colors 2.0.4. I need to test it with the new release, but anyone interested in helping me test it should PM me for a link to the build.
Yay, im waiting for update.
Hi all! Sorry for the lack of activity here. I haven't pushed out any updates in a while because the plugin still works on current versions of bukkit.
Due to the recent changes in the bukkit/craftbukkit project, this plugin may not work after the 1.7 update. In light of this situation, I have resumed active development of the project to attempt to get a working chat plugin out when bukkit has an update available.
Some features include:
