Beta 1.7.3 terrain generator
This plugin generates beta 1.7.3 terrain.
Installation
MCStats
As of version 2.3 this plugin uses MCStats to collect data about the plugin, like how many servers/players use the plugin ect. (More about MCStats)
Disabling MCStats:
Edit file plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml and change opt-out: false to true
Updating to v2.2 and newer
Configuration
1.5 and earlier: no configuration
Commands
/reload command
/reload command is not supported. Don't use it. It WILL break 173generator (and a lot of other plugins).

Posted Apr 28, 2020Hey man, I know this is a big ask but is there any chance this mod would be updated for 1.15?
I've had a world I've built upon since beta 1.2 but unfortunately can't expand upon it due to the weird chunk generation. Would be great to have this back and re-experience the gargamel+glacier seeds too

I will look into this issue. Can you report it here so that I don't forget about it? If it happens on 1.9, it probably happens with any other version and for some reason I didn't notice this bug.
At this point I'm probably going to break compatibility with older craftbukkit version (before 1.7).

No, it generates only old biomes (or as close as possible mappings of old biomes to new biomes). The goal of this plugin is to generate exactly the same terrain as b1.7.3.
Some biomes are not even possible with the old terrain generator (like plateau biomes) or are impossible to detect when terrain of these biomes is generated (mountains).
If you only want new biomes for the animals they spawn, you can try to set experimental biome generation, which will try to get as close as possible biome colors using all currently existing biomes, but no new features will be generated. Terrain will look exactly the same block by block (with some exceptions because of limitations of bukkit API and changes to Minecraft internals).

Posted Apr 8, 2016A question: does this plugin (or is there a way to make the plugin) generate b1.7.3 style terrain with the new biomes in 1.7? I'd like to use this for a future generation of a server however these biomes would likely need to exist.

Someone already sent me PM asking for information about 1.8.8 update so I will copy-paste my reply here:
"This plugin uses only the official Bukkit API so it should work with any new release of CraftBukkit and Spigot without major issues. If you still have any issues you can report them here.
As for future updates, I will only fix major bugs and compatibility issues. Version 3.0 will most likely never exist. I need to update main page.
Since I wrte it on plugin page my plans have changed. What I thought of as version 3.0 turned into a completely different project, TerrainVersionChanger. Unfortunately Bukkit version of this project turned out to be a bad idea for technical reasons. Only Sponge server has everything I need to do it."

Posted Oct 28, 2015For some reason, your plugin will disable all tree growth on the server. I'm using it on spigot 1.8.6, but it also won't work on craftbukkit. It doesn't work through bonemeal and also not by just letting it grow regularly.. maybe you can help me, I used your plugin a year ago and it is awesome. Do you need more information?
