Important

There is a high chance this plugin may break (or at the very least not work as intended) whenever Minecraft 1.8 comes around. At some point in the near future, I will be looking into making sure AdminAid is ready for that update. I highly recommend you read this forum thread as Minecraft 1.8 may also break some of the other plugins your server may use.

In short, players will be identified by a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) rather than their name. This is an issue for AdminAid and many other plugins because up until 1.8, plugins have worked under the assumption that a player's name cannot change. This will no longer be true, and instead players will be uniquely identified by their UUID. Please be aware of this whenever it becomes time to update your servers for Minecraft 1.8.

    @SnipsRevival: Go

    Out of curiosity, do you need someone to help with the plugin?

    Sorry for my lack of a response recently. I've been busy.

    I will look into the temp banning issue, and I will add the /sc message shortcut. I will also consider adding making the actual message portion of the chat customizable with staff chat (and maybe just normal chat too because why not, right?). Lastly, I will investigate command disabling, but I will likely need some detailed information about what is happening (a list of plugins plus the specific commands effected would be great) otherwise I can't guarantee that I will find anything wrong.

    My satisfaction stems from your satisfaction.

    @octoshrimpy: Go On the same topic, how about if /sc has arguments, do not toggle, but use as a quick reply to staffchat? '/sc' 'yeah, I agree' '/sc' is a lot, when '/sc I agree' could do its thing.

    Yes please. That would be so wonderful. It would really cut down on the wrong lines we have if it was "/sc message" instead of "/sc" "message"

    Is anyone else having an issue with tempbans? Trying to narrow down if it's a conflicting plugin or if it's a glitch with AA. When we do a temp ban and the person tries to log in, the first time they get the tempban message, after that they get "you are permanently banned from this server" but the ban expires at the end of the tempban.

    Great plugin! A few quick questions, though. Turning the 'Disable Command' to true on some commands, adminaid still insists on managing such commands, such as ban and mute, when I would prefer to use essentials to do that. (nicer chat messages). Am I missing something when disabling certain commands?

    Will there be an option to configure the color for the $message part of staffchat? The white text gets confusing, specially when regular chat and staff chat are on the same topic. On the same topic, how about if /sc has arguments, do not toggle, but use as a quick reply to staffchat? '/sc' 'yeah, I agree' '/sc' is a lot, when '/sc I agree' could do its thing.

    just re-read the config files. will add the other topics to staffinfo as well.

    I've added added an important note to the top of this page. I suggest everyone reads it because it may impact both AdminAid and many other plugins that your server uses.

    @Marium0505: Go

    No there isn't. If you wish to automatically record notes, you must use AdminAid's versions of those commands. This is primarily because each plugin may implement these commands in a somewhat different way, making it difficult for me to add in note-taking features to other versions of these commands.

    So, I use Ban Manager to kick, mute and (temp)ban players.

    Is it possible to make it so AdmiAid automatically adds a note when players are muted, kicked and (temp)banned?

    @biggnft19: Go

    Can you submit a ticket? If you can, please show me your permission file, and the player.yml file for whichever player you are having trouble with.

    I am having trouble changing one of my players to be set as a staff member. I recently acquired a Plugin Developer and when i go into the config and change it so staff member it true when i start my server up it changes it back so that he is not listed as a staff member. I didn't see a command to change his standing in-game. I am not receiving a error message or anything it just changes it without notice

    @Arton123: Go

    More or less. Go through the configuration file and disable what you don't want.
